I did go to a fireworks show in a nearby town on Thursday. The fireworks were beautiful but the location was terrible. 1000s of people were packed onto a sidewalk along the lake. It was a hot night, it was mostly standing room only, and with a couple of coughing fits on my part, didn't make for the pleasant night.
I didn't go to work the next day. Still no voice and too much coughing. I'd hoped that resting for a couple of days would help but it's Monday now and I still have no voice and a cough. But I'm going to try to go to work today, just so there's another body there. Starting Wednesday we have our summer vacation. I've already cancelled the first leg of our trip but I'm hoping I'll be able to do the 2nd part. We'll see.
In the meantime, and evidently for at least the next couple of weeks the temperatures have been/will be in the high 90s and humid. Hard to do anything but sit in my one air conditioned room. I sweat just standing in the kitchen!
