2015-08-28, Preschool Summer Festival

First I want to show you the size ofr the grapes that one of my adult student's parents grow.  She brought in some for us and they are yummy.  They taste a little like concord grapes which are my favorite.  There are even bigger grapes here - they're like little plums.  I've been making blue cheese and grape salad which is really good.  I've also been freezing some and eating them like frozen ice.

Next I wanted to share a few pictures of the cute preschoolers/kindergarteners.  There was a summer festival last Friday which we all helped with.  Unfortunately I was downstairs cooking when they did their little show, I'm sure it was very cute.  Over the past weeks they made different things that they 'sold' to their parents at the little shops.  They all - including the parents - had English scripts to follow and they did a great job.

The families shared a plate with a Costco hotdog, baked beans, a pickle and Hawaiin kettle chips.  Each child handed the plate to the parent after taking their ticket.

The students had a bowl of Kraft Mac & Cheese.

At the shops.  The parents received an envelope wtih a ticket for each item.

Caleb made cotton candy which the kids were supposed to hold and then give to parents -
some of them ended up eating it instead.

I thought these were real and thought putting yarn on the frosting was rather odd - turned out they were made of paper!  But the kids carefully placed them in fancy bags and handed them to the parents.

Very cute fans.  The kids' pictures on one side and vegetable prints on the other side.

The script.
